About Me

Hello, I'm Sampad, a recent undergraduate from University of Dhaka. At my work which is mostly R&D, I focus on Web3. Working with frontier technologies demands constant innovation, and I strive to develop novel solutions aligned with the latest advancements. Alongside conventional dApp development, I also perform security audits to ensure compliance with key security standards.

My current work involves projects centered on anonymity preservation, security auditing, and performance validation of public blockchains. I have a strong interest in applied cryptography, particularly in zero knowledge proofs (zkSNARKs), and I'm actively exploring emerging protocols and tooling in this space.

Beyond cryptography, I'm also delving into Agentic AI, with a focus on integrating agentic workflows into existing ecosystems to enable more intelligent and autonomous systems.

My hobbies are travelling and video games, and I envision circumnavigating the entire world someday.

Professional Experience

Software Engineer I

Brain Station 23 PLC., Bangladesh • Jan 2024 - Present

Our team at Brain Station is a Web3 R&D team. In addition to client-dependencies, the team focuses on research full time:

  • • Conducting research on Web3 protocols, their security vulnerabilities, and cryptographic techniques to enhance on-chain privacy
  • • We focus on Web3 interoperability with Web2 systems and decentralized consortium building for enhanced B2B and B2C collaboration
  • • We also focus on auditing Web3 protocols - reach out to BS23 Web3 team if you want to audit your dApp
  • • My focus is on user security and privacy in open systems, especially regarding the growing use of AI while maintaining privacy
  • • Lately, our focus has been zero-knowledge: designing zk-SNARK circuits (Groth16) for on-chain anonymity
  • • Our research in event synchronization between Web2 and Web3 is currently in pre-print
  • • Our current research is exploring a Noir (zk-SNARKs and PLONKS) PoC to ensure on-chain anonymity for a public chain reconciliation hub for B2B or B2G collaboration.
  • • We are also working on an infrastructure project that will propose a scalable, reliable and efficient system for enterprises looking to use a public blockchain platform

Blockchain R&D Intern

Grameen Communications, Bangladesh • June-July 2023

Grameen is the oldest bank offering microcredit system in Bangladesh. Its founder is Dr. Mohammad Yunus, who won the Nobel Prize in Peace for revolutionizing the micro-credit system. This legacy system lacks innovation, and is highly centralized despite being operated by several sub-parties. Here I worked as the lead researcher to research current microcredit system and design a permissioned blockchain prototype to create an interoperable environment for sub-parties.

  • • Researched the existing microcredit system to assess blockchain's potential for enhancing security
  • • Developed a permissioned blockchain prototype for their current microfinance system
  • • Designed an interoperable environment for sub-parties to address the centralization issues
  • platform • Focused on creating a verifier system for the legacy database, to prevent any unwarranted discrepancy
  • • Formulated and implemented EVM-centric smart contracts to enhance user service
